The first ever RTS I played was (believe it or not) the original Warcraft, it only had Orcs and Humans then. I know that a few of us have played WC3 and seen what goes on there in that story so I was just wondering what other PC races you'd like to see in the game? I previously said I'd like to play Night Elves but I think it will be a Tauren (if SCS isn't implemented I might try both hehe). If NE are even in it, just wondering what you've all seen in the WC world that you thought...that'd be kewl to play one of those.

The Undead sound interesting. I just hope they dont come out looking like they did in Dungeon Siege. Night Elves have my attention as well. Perhaps we can even play demons from the Burning Legion?

I don't think that the demons will be playable. They all got wiped out at the emd of WC3 and the demon gate they came through was destroyed. Plus the demons werre seen as being very powerful overall and where tough to beat, I doubt they'd be in there as PC's. Most MMOs focus on "good" characters as well, it would be interesting to have some "evil" quests in there, then that would allow the Burning Legion to be PC if it followed with the continuity.

I'm more curious to how all these races will interact in the game. Will it be like EQ where any race can group, etc?

Ye, It would be realistic if only orc can group and undead but that will also bring problems what I think we can think about for ourselfs......

Well, if you look at the story for WC3 at the end of the game all the "good" races ended up working together to bring down the Burning Legion. Perhaps the amin story will be how they are drifting apart again and an increase in racial tensions throughout Kalimdor would be the backdrop to the whole game??

With so many storylines, once the greater evil has been defeated, the "united side" oftern immediatly attacks those who were its allies inorder to gain the upper hand. While each race was originally on the same side to defeat the "Burning Leigon", I wouldn't be supprised to hear that the Orcs are no longer friendly towards humans etc as they fight to regain control of the lands.

Well, the orcs are supposed to be less agressive, and returning to there shamanistic ways. I don't think there will be any formal declaration of war between them and humans, but I think it will be a tense relationship with small scirmishes here and there. There would still be much animosity between the races. The humans wanting to reclaim their ancestral homelands taken by the orcs; the orcs now considering those lands there own home now. Kinda like a Middle East type of situation. Meanwhile, the reclusive night elves are distrustful of other races and are distrusted in kind.
