Malador was designed to be a guild for a Massive Multiplayer Online Role-playing Game (MMORPG). In order to be successful, one needs to have goals for it is very easy to stray off track if one does not.
With that said, Malador has these goals set forth:
Become one of the highest respected guilds in World of Warcraft
In order to achieve such a high respective representation of ourselves as a guild, we must first look at our conduct as players in a game which will host thousands of players. We must always show respect to other gamers if we in return wish for them to respect us. By this, we will never get into a flaming match or put down any player just to make ourselves feel superior. Any member caught doing this will be removed from Malador at once. Every member must conduct themselves with class. Malador does not tolerate grief players or unfriendly players in our guild. In order to be successful, one needs to work as a team that will help each other out until the very end.
Exercise extreme teamwork
To accomplish any goals in a MMORPG, a team is needed. In order for a team to work, each person needs to learn their role in the guild. Malador must be able to take out any enemy at any given time in any location in the game. World of Warcraft has announced that each party or group will only house five (5) players. Each member of that group will need to perform their role to benefit the safety and success of his or her group. For example, clerics (healers) will always have to be alert and pay attention to the hit points from each member. Classes that buff (provide spells or songs to enhance member’s attributes (stats)) will have to make sure each member always maintains all the attribute enhancements that the particular buffer can cast. Examples of this would be extra hit points, strength, dexterity, mana, and so on. Melee classes (tanks), will have to make sure that they keep the enemy provoked to only attack them so that the healers and casters are protected from any such attacks since their hit points will not be as much as that of a tank. Casters that provide damage such as wizards for example will need to use their mana wisely so that they never run out while supplying significant damage to the enemy. This will help bring down enemies faster once everybody knows their roles and what they have to do. Guild raids are only successful if everybody works together as a team. This might take multiple groups which need to act as if they are one group.
Always help our members at any time
The whole point of a guild is to become a team. To become a team, each unit (player) must work in unison in order to achieve goals. That means that we must always help each member out so that they can experience the game to the best of their abilities. This means helping members achieve certain armor or weapons that would benefit them, which in turn would benefit the guild as it improves their stats. Questing will also need the benefit of a team. Each member will always be ready to help any other member in any particular need.
Most importantly – HAVE FUN
This by far is the simplest, yet most important aspect in a game. Nothing hinders a guild more than players who are constantly complaining, causing fights, or disrupting everybody else’s fun. If everybody maintains a relaxed attitude, more fun will ensue, that’s a guarantee. It is inevitable that players will die. To blame somebody for it will not be tolerated. Mistakes will be made, nobody is perfect. The real challenge is to learn from these mistakes and to apply what you have learned to excel in those situations. Exploration is a key. If we have members constantly whining and complaining that they might die, then that hinders the guild in advancing into new territories whether it be new enemies being discovered, new quests, or new places to explore. So just remember that this is a game. Games are meant to be FUN.
