Hey Guys its Talos, here with an update for you on one of the NEW MMORPGs. I currently am playing it right now, and so far it has proved its worth in the gaming community. A few people I'm playing with right now are: Slytin, his brother, and my friend Paul. Now to the real stuff... Graphics- The graphics in this game are amazing, I have not seen a game as complete as this when it comes to effects from lighting and environment. And it runs great on even a GeFroce2 Ultra (I myself am currently playing on a Radean 7500) and even if you have somewhat low system specs (Like maybe 600mhz with 256 ram) The game will still run rather smoothly. Gameplay- The gameplay so far is VERY addicting, it isnt as time consuming as was Everquest and in the beginning you can advance pretty quickly. I am right now a Lugian Jauggarnaut. Yeah a big tank I have experienced very few glitches, and gameplay issues so far. Maybe for the rare graphical issue due to my Radean card But at the moment I have to get back to class, I'll update later today with more complete information, and screen shots! For now I personally give it a 9/10 (Until the next patch this friday which will make it 10/10) -Talos

Does everybody just about look the same with there only being 3 races?
What are the differences between this and EQ exactly?
What were the glitches you noticed?
Characters move smoothly or choppy like they do in EQ when in battle mode?

So far I have only found one other person that looked almost exactly like me. And I have found very few other people who looked similar to eachother. Even with only 3 races, there are many different ways in which the players can be different from each other. Some Examples-Different Hair, Different Size, Different Skin color, Different clothing, and faces but they arent very noticable anyway. And the good thing is that there are MANY choices that you can choose from when creating a character in the beginning of the game. Some people were complaining that there wasnt enough choices when creating a character, but to me it seems efficient enough. How does it relate to EQ?Well I didnt play EQ for too long, but it was enough so that I grasped the concept of MMORPG. In EQ it was very time consuming and required the player to devote a large amount of time to slowly lvl, it required a large amount of time for me just to reach the lvl 13. In AC2, the lvling is very progressive during the first 15 lvls, by lvl 20 you are really working to gain as much experience as possible. I myself enjoy this lvling system, with the skill trees how they are and raising skills not by single skill points but by experience. (If i have 1,000 Experience, i have 1,000 experience to spend on my skills) As skills gain lvls they require more experience, right now a buff skill I have requires me to spend 2,680 experience just to raise it now, and its at lvl 20 out of a max of 50. As in EQ AC2 has its own crafting system, that is very simple to begin with. In EQ it was very difficult sometimes to remember what exactly i had to find to craft certain armors or weapons, and I knew at the time it would be a LONG LONG time until i would be able to create anything that was useful to me. In AC2 you know exactly what you need to find and the crafting is simple enough for a NEWBIE to learn. As with the lvling system, it doesnt take long in the beginning to advance in crafting but once you get far enough it requires LARGE amounts of resources/money(Gold)/and the time to do so... Currently I have an item i need to craft which takes me about 2 days to find the things i need to use to craft. (mostly becuase of a reed shark plate thats a pain to find) [glow=red,2,300]I dont feel though, that I would be qualified to relate it to EQ, I myself did not get very far in the game, and havent had the experience to really get into the details of things.[/glow]GlitchesAll the glitches that I encouter only involved that of graphics...You can look at the Dev Notes for this weeks chat at The Asherons Call 2 Insider Site (I encountered areas where i would have to tweak my graphical settings in order to continue playing) microsoftgamesinsider.com/ac2/default.htmChracter MovementOverall this would be dependent on your computers hardware I myself am playing on a 1.8ghzP4, 512RAM, 7500 Radean Mobile Card. And the Characters run smooothly, with some moments where they are choppy due to graphical issues with terran that happen very rarely. The character models themselves are very well done and beautiful. Thhey have many emotes where they perform differnt actions (Like /teapot makes me do the "I'm a little teapot" movement, or I can dance, shrug, smack my head, laugh, point, and many other options Even the animations for fighting are well developed and great to watch when playing the game. Even the enemies have awesome fighting and death animations. Like staggering when about to die. This is all for now, I hope that tonight I will have the time to post some screen shots of this game[/u]
